Questions
Frequently asked
Straight answers on pricing, regions and how the work runs.
How do I start, and what does it cost?
Entering Spain starts with a free first meeting — about an hour, confidential, NDA on request. Nothing is quoted before it, because what you need depends on what you have already built. If it fits, you get a written offer: a fixed fee per phase against a named deliverable, with milestones and named people on both sides. No day rates. Scaling work is priced separately — see the next answer. All prices exclude VAT.
What is the difference between the free first meeting and the paid Scale Sprint?
They belong to two different services. The first meeting is for entering Spain: it costs nothing, and we work out whether Spain is your next market and what entering it would actually take. The Scale Sprint belongs to the scaling work: €390–€590, ninety minutes on the one constraint holding your commercial engine back, and you keep a one-page memo whether or not we ever work together again. It is a working session, not a sales call in costume. If you are not sure which you need, book the first meeting.
Do you only work with medical device companies?
Medtech, diagnostics, medical devices and their distributors — yes, and deliberately. This is not marketing focus, it is a competence boundary. In unregulated B2B an advisor sells method, which travels between industries and is easy to copy. What is worth paying for here does not travel: who sits on a Spanish public purchasing committee, which clinical evidence they accept, why the nurses decide how far you get in primary care, and how long the cycle really runs. If you are outside medtech I will say so rather than take the work.
My company is not in Spain. Is that a problem?
That is the normal case — almost every client is a producer outside Spain. Spain is the market being entered, not where you have to be. Meetings run remotely in English, Spanish or Slovenian, and the Spanish presence you need is the one built during the engagement, not one you are expected to arrive with.
Is this remote or on-site?
Both. Most work is done remotely with focused working sessions, and on-site time is scheduled where it adds real value — workshops, key account or tender planning, and leadership offsites. We agree the mix at the start of any engagement.
Will I work with you or with a team of juniors?
No juniors, no hand-offs. You work directly with me. Where a specialist is genuinely needed — a regulatory consultant, a CRO, a lawyer — I bring in a vetted partner, say so in writing before they start, and stay accountable for the whole engagement. That is the point of a solo advisory: you get the person who made the climb, and the capability we build stays in your team, not with the consultant.
What is the Scale Scorecard, and who is it for?
It belongs to the scaling work, not to entering Spain. Five minutes and fifteen honest statements, and you get an on-screen result: a score across the five drivers, your single biggest constraint, and a concrete first move. Share your email and the full report follows. There is no obligation to book anything. If your question is whether Spain is your next market, the first meeting is the better door.
Still deciding where to start?
Book the first meeting. It is free, it is about an hour, and nothing is quoted before it.
