Fractional AI Solutions Architect
Own the technical architecture on engagements complex enough to need one — the senior technical voice keeping a multi-agent or high-stakes build coherent.
Fractional, day-rate · engaged for architecture-critical phases, not full time
Objectives
- ·Design the end-to-end architecture: model choice, memory, orchestration, guardrails, integration points
- ·Review other freelancers' work on the engagement for technical soundness
- ·Advise on build-vs-buy and scaling decisions before they become expensive mistakes
Key deliverables
- ·An architecture decision document with rationale
- ·Technical review sign-off at key milestones
- ·Direct input into vendor and stack selection
Experience needed
- ·7+ years in software or ML architecture, including recent hands-on agentic AI system design
- ·Demonstrated experience taking an AI system from prototype to production at meaningful scale
- ·Comfortable advising a non-technical founder and a freelance dev team in the same conversation
