Automation / Integration Engineer
Turn an approved agent design into a working automation that connects the client's existing tools — without needing custom backend development.
Freelance, project-based · billed per sprint or hourly
Objectives
- ·Build reliable, maintainable Make.com or n8n scenarios that implement the agreed agent workflow
- ·Connect the agent to the client's systems — CRM, inbox, calendar, forms, spreadsheets — via native or webhook integrations
- ·Keep the build pragmatic and within an SME budget and timeline
Key deliverables
- ·A documented, working automation scenario with error handling and retry logic
- ·A short handover doc or screen recording for the client's team
- ·Basic cost/usage monitoring set up on the automation platform
Experience needed
- ·2+ years building production Make.com or n8n workflows
- ·Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and OAuth-based integrations
- ·Experience wiring at least one LLM (Claude, OpenAI, or similar) into an automation flow
- ·Nice to have: Zapier experience, basic JavaScript for custom code steps
